change
just a RANDOM post. i guess change is necessary and good sometimes- you could call it a ME thing. it's pretty bad when you take your kid to get his hair cut and your hair girl feels close enough to you to be bold and say "steph, we need to do something to cover up your greys"... haha- having dark hair isn't always a bonus! so i had my light highlights put back in TIMES3 this time. a little extreme, but i think i like it- Eth wasn't quite so stoked with the end result, but he's getting used to it! all he seems to really be concerned with is that i don't cut it short again...

so this weekend i had a lot going on... lots of things spinning in my head, but last night i hung out with a girlfriend of mine -we went to a low-key place to play pool for a while. i'm getting pretty good, but seriously... let me tell you that we laughed at ourselves so hard sometimes i thought my face would break. it was fun to just go hang out and light it up for a while. fun time. i've had so much going on in life that i haven't been able to relax. it felt good. last week was out of control getting ready for the halloween party. and it didn't help that the day of the party i sat at eth's wrestling tourney all day- then ran home to get him ready for his dance. i didn't even dress up for my own party! ( i was going to be camo-ed out!, and was a little frustrated when i discovered that bobby took the camo make up with him when he moved out- but then again, why wouldn't he -? ) just too maxed to put any effort into a costume when it came to getting myself ready. next year i'll plan a little more carefully!
so for this Halloween week i plan to spend some time with my nieces.i bought these cute little halloween-chinese carry out boxes and filled them with candy. they'll be wired through thanksgiving! i'm cutting out jack-o-lanterns from cardboard, laying out the paint, and letting the girls rock out with the paint brushes!! i love it. my sis-n-law just shakes her head. she's not much of the creative type (and will admit it), but she loves seeing aly and josie get into art. aly's teachers have been commenting to her how awesome and creative aly is in art. aly takes their project (concept) and goes in her own direction with it. -there you go. she's got the art in her soul and it'll be fun to see where she takes it in her life. it excites me to see her create and to be a part of it with her
i plan to get into some serious artwork. i know, i've made that comment in my past couple of posts'.. but i really need it right now. and- as i'm sitting here typing this, i just had a thought run through my mind- do ATC's using the boys' wrestling action shots. how seriously cool would that be to do a deck of altered cards using both their photos and have them made into a deck of playing cards to put into their holiday stockings -?!ok- again i've scared myself at how i just hit on a concept and i have no clue where it came from and didn't expect it. deep breath. i'm on it though. *if you have a contact for the playing card printing/boxed, please let me know. i've finally had some time to catch up on some of my fav people's blogs for inspiration and for catching up sake. that's a good thing. lots of ATC swaps going on out there.
like i said... random post. random thoughts. the reality is i'm just procrastinating cleaning my house and doing the laundry. a necessary, but not a fun sunday thing to do. sigh.
